HI

 

I am trying to import this siding material the clients wants to see to put on their house . I an import no problem but  how can I  size it properly - when I  use the define material TEXTURE to adjust it just ends up all over the house not as actual  siding

You need an image of several pieces of siding to use as a custom material, not just one piece to get the effect you want or make one.

thank you David.. it worked.  I knew I had done it before but I couldn't figure it out..

make one ,, that' s interesting  ae you saying we can make siding profile??

Are you wanting a textured clapboard siding material?  Surface as seen with James Hardie "Cedarmill" or LP Smartside?

 

If so you'll need a seamless image of lapping boards.
