However, I would like these to be faux "dummy" dormers with no roof openings, i.e. overframed on top of the roof. I cannot figure out how to delete the roof openings below. Floating Dormer: Also known as a false dormer or fake dormer. In this type of dormer, all walls rest on top of the roof plane. Yeah, I googled it.
