Select the wall that makes up the perimeter of the porch in real life, use that wall type and draw the room. With auto roofs turned on you can set your room to have a roof over this room (OOB the Porch has this selected) set your walls to show what type of roof you want, (i.e. gable, hip, shed, etc.) and done. You will have to set settings for the foundation if it is a deck porch, or a patio type porch. @SNestor Steve Nestor with My Chief Skills has several good videos on how to do them to help you along.
