LuckyNo13 Posted November 23, 2021 Share Posted November 23, 2021 Hey guys might be a crazy question but my old pc does not have a 3d graphics card and can't afford to buy new one right now.. i have HD Pro 2022 and need to produce a 2d view of the exterior is that possible ? DavidJPotter Posted November 23, 2021 Share Posted November 23, 2021 2D exterior views are called "Elevations and cross sections", have at them using your elevation cross section camera to obtain them. Haha it was beefy when i bought it (maybe 10 yrs ago?) - Dell Desktop i7cpu 2.67Ghz with 8G RAM. im running Windows 10 but video card will not do 3D. it does what i need but since i started dabbling with my house plan i re-discovered how old it is haha! Chris Home Designer Pro 2022 The Home Designer Series has it own Forum over here : https://hometalk.chiefarchitect.com/ However if you are getting an Error in X13 cos of low GPU then I'd suggest trying HD Pro 2021.... which has lower specs Even Elevation Views are technically 3D in Chief/HD , so David's advice may still not Help? All elevation and cross section views are actually 3D views. If your computer is not capable of creating 3D views, you will not be able to create them. You will likely have problems even just using basic plan views because we use 3D views all over the program including in most dialogs and in the library browser. I recommend reviewing the system requirements here: https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/products/system-requirements.html If your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements, then you might want to either upgrade your system or talk to customer service about what your other options are. You're correct - I can't even generate 2D Elevaton/Cross Section views. I am renting the software right now so i will make a decision soon.. would love to upgrade my system maybe next year. Chris You should Call Sales and explain the Situation and see if they will let you Rent 2021 instead , as it has the Old 3D Engine and will likely work on your Older System until you can upgrade. You haven't done your Forum signature , ( see mine for example below) so I have no idea what your computer specs are ? There is a whole new 3D Engine in Chief and HD this version around and there are quite a few who no longer meet the Specs , even though X12 and HD 2021 worked just fine. Mick.
