Clean lines in elevation & Layout

I am trying to get my drawings to a look of very clean lines along with dimensions, in elevations. I like the crisp look obtained by autocad but in Chief I seem to only be able to get drawings with shadows, even when I use Technical Drawing it tends to look more like a sketch. Any ideas of how to clean that up?

 

I have attached two images, one name Chief wherein I get shadows and lines that look choppy, the other image from another software where lines are much smoother and no shadows

Give us your example of clean.

 

Also show us Chief not-clean.  We cannot help without seeing what you see.

You're using the wrong camera. Use the VECTOR VIEW camera and a very specific layer set with it to control the line weights.

From the looks of it you're probably going to want to use Vector View (as Joey already mentioned) and turn color off.  In addition, its worth noting that sending to Layout as Plot Lines will result in crisper lines than a Live View will.

I always forget to mention that. It's a habit I don't even think about anymore so I forget to mention it.
