Adding niche to half glass pony wall

Hi there, 

 

I'm having trouble adding a niche into a half glass pony wall - when I add the niche, it removes the top portion of the glass. Any tips on how to correct this or place the niche a better way? I'm using x12 for reference.

Start with a full glass wall, change to a pony wall, adjust height. Then a niche works.

I do a lot of baths and knew I'd done this before though didn't remember how. Actually for expediency I did start with the Straight Glass Pony wall from the drop down and tried a custom niche symbol (fixture interior inserts into wall)... but that didn't work. Then realized that I almost always start with just glass walls and convert what is needed to a pony walls which I find easier to get what I want (like a curb at the door). Did that and Bob's yer uncle

Awhile back this also was the method necessary to place electrical items in a half wall, or in an invisible wall.
