Basement Window

It is because you have the window top higher than the bottom of the floor joist of the level above.  Lower the windows.

They really don't like being there do they.  Try placing them on level 1 and then move them to their absolute position and it should work the way you want it to but you still have some floor framing to deal with somehow.

Placing the window on the 1st floor and moving it down should work, but then the window displays on the 1st floor.

You could break the bottom of the brick wall and pull it up so it goes over the window instead of through it.

thank you for the response. Its a finished basement, hence I could not measure the joist depth and you can see them in the site picture as how they look on site. I am trying to recreate for my drawings.. Do you know how could I add the sill thick as it appears in the site picture?

For the window you can draw the sill profile and put it into your library as a molding and then apply it to the window.

For the door I think you just need to use a p-solid.

My chosen floor keeps appearing black (it is medium walnut floor from the Chief Architect library). I tried to see if it was all of them, but it seems to just be this single flooring type. I haven't touched any of the display settings for it, so I'm at a loss. Any help? (I'm very new with Chief Architect so this might be any easy fix)

At one time, the hinge/swing direction of cabinet doors was displayed in elevation views, but it isn't happening any more.  Is there a setting that I need to change?

I am using Chief Architect Premier x9

I have exported my chief file to a 3D viewer file so a client can look at it.
When I went to open the file though, most materials are not there for example the siding is just shown as one solid colour vs a horizontal pattern.

      thanks in advance.

My defaults seemed to have changed so that when I select a window - it is now showing temporary dimensions of the window casing / center of window / trim. (see attached screen shots)
How do I change this to only show the window opening to wall stud?

      thanks in advanced!

A bit of an issue. I have two staircases. One from the basement to the first floor. Directly above are the other stairs which go from the first to the second floor. When I run "Auto Stairwell" on the basement stairs, the other stairs drop to the basement. I have never had this issue in any other versions. Why? (See attached screen shoot). Running CA12 on Win10Pro.

      Thanks in advance.
