CovOps Posted November 28, 2014 Share Posted November 28, 2014 I've used X2 off and on for the past 4 years and avoided any upgrades. But now my PC (a laptop with Windows 7) is on its last legs, so it's time to make a change. I'm also considering switching to a Mac. Any advice? Here's some of my questions: 1. Will all my older plans files (even back to V9) still be accessible in X6? 2. Will X6 work together with my office PC desktop and a Mac laptop? Can you mix and match PC and Mac operations? 3. lbuttery Posted November 29, 2014 Share Posted November 29, 2014 as a side note: by skipping the X3,X4,X5 upgrades you saved approx. $1200 but to upgrade from X2 to X6 will cost $1395 so you are paying more in the long run AND you never had the benefit of the missing versions ..... I don't see the sense in skipping upgrades unless you are destitute or certain that you will "never" need to be current again but when PC's age or die it becomes necessary to get software that can run on the newer PC's and it becomes necessary to get current again anyways just some thoughts for those who don't see the sense in staying current with SSA Lew Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I hear it is not an issues glitches best answered by Mac users Lew Just to add to what Lew has pointed out; there is always a little learning, along with unlearning/re-learning between rev.s. Don't schedule yourself too tightly for awhile, because you'll be on the learning curve, watching videos, and experimenting with the changes. There will be many of us here to help, too.
