Ceiling Joist Size

HI all. I have a kitchen that I am remodelling, and while I don't have the whole house in chief I have the kitchen and dining room dimensioned out. I need to create some layout framing plans for the city, but when I change my layerset to framing and choose the 'ceiling joist direction' tool and indicate the direction, I can only ever get 'cj 2x6 @ 16 O.C'. 

 

The ceiling joists are actually 2x8's?

Show us your dbx for ceiling structure.

Are you unsure?

 

Did you change from the default and build framing?

@solverno I haven't changed from the default. This is the default. 

@dshall I did try that, but there are no options to change the actual size,

Post a screen capture of the ceiling structure dialog, a cross section etc to verify the size.

 

You can also attach the plan file -- close from Chief first.

 

And please check your messages.

not sure how to do the ceiling structure. there are probably a few things missing as it is as I said only 2 rooms.
