Shop Building Design & Construction Prints

Recommended Posts

Gentlemen,

I am a professional model-maker and cnc machinist looking to build a new 40'x60' workshop on my property. I am well versed in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, but not Chief Architect. I am contemplating renting CA for a couple of months to complete the design of my new workshop and generate construction drawings, but before I pull the trigger on that, and spend a good deal of time learning the software, I would like to get quotes for someone else to complete the design work and generate prints. Please contact me offline for details and to bid the job.

Conventional framing on top of 4 foot tall cinder block. Exterior of cinder block would be faux stone. Exterior of framing would be Hardy board. I would also consider cinder block the full 12 foot of ground floor with faux stone on outside, and poured concrete in cinder block walls. Cost is main consideration. Attic trusses above this to create future granny flat or space for model railroad above main shop.

I can give you more details offline.

Thanks,

Dave Queener

Hello,

I have just started selling 2D and 3D printers and I recently setup a small shop where the Customers can visit and check out the printers or give out printing orders and buy other related supplies. I am looking to expand now can anyone suggest where can I get a loan or a credit line to expand

Did you ask your Nana?  Or how bout maybe the local pawn shop?

I am doing a remodel and have created a separate existing building file and am using it as an underlay to show where walls are being removed:
BUT, when I export the views to layout, they all default to the last view I export. Here I export the first floor:

So far so good. Here are the settings:

Then it all goes awry. This is what happens when I export the second floor:

      And now the third...

This only happens with this one plan. Could using the plan reference be messing things up? Has anyone seen this before?

I am looking for someone to draft a complete set of plans for my small 1 1/2 story house. I have Chief Architect Home Designer Pro and the plans are already drawn up. The only thing that needs a little help is the roof (11/12 pitch) with a dormer (6/12 pitch). I'll need elevation plans, floor plan, foundation plan, floor framing plan, roof framing plan, wall cross-section, electrical plans that I've already done. I can't attach the Chief Architect File because it's too big but these will give you an idea of the project. Could you quote me a price and timeline?

I sell Structural Insulated Panels and often need to create a schematic to obtain a package price.
Many times the client wants to move forward and I do not have the time to take the design to a permit set. Most are simple designs.
I work in the Pacific Northwest so I need someone who is familiar with the energy codes and permit requirements in Or and WA

      Hi,

I have developed some plans in X12 premier for an 1800 ft^2 garage / workshop (~30'x647') that is attached to my existing house via a Porte-cochère.

I have submitted it to the HOA, showing both the existing house and the additional building and it has been accepted.

I created a plan of the original house and my vision of the additional new construction (garage/workshop).

I haven't added the framing/electrical/plumbing yet, but would possibly like to use some of the 'perfect wall' designs that I saw Matt Risinger presents on his build show.
Of course need to weight this against cost.

Also, I need to be able to pull permits with the plans that I receive.  Want to get an official sign off from the person who perfects these plans.

The city does not require a licensed architect, but I would like to have one anyways.

Generally people use post tension slab on grade in my area.  If the person I engage is not a structural engineer, I may need to enlist a second person to do the foundation design.

      The design is 1.5 stories.

      Thanks,

I currently have a remodel to an existing home. I am a General Contractor. I need someone to take some PDF's and DWG's and turn them into an existing plan, plus add to it the proposed remodel. Needs to be ready for submittal to Kootenai County, ID for permitting. I can send you plans for review. I would like to reach a flat rate fee plus an hourly for revisions if necessary. I am working in CA X12 and would like them in that format for ease of transfer. Please give me your availability as I am looking for someone to start very soon. Thank you.
