Thad58
So I have a old plan that was drawn on a old template. I understand that if I just copy and paste it and rename it it will open up just fine in X12, but then I have to reset all my defaults, walls, windows, floors etc...Is there a way to copy and paste the plan into a new template? I tried to open the plan in X12 and import default setting but it only changes a few settings.
glennw
What are you trying to do - your post is a bit confusing. 53 minutes ago, Thad58 said: Is there a way to copy and paste the plan into a new template? Edit area (All Floors) Defaults are saved with the plan file.
HumbleChief
Why can't you just open the old plan in X12? Save as new template?
Thad58
Because if I open the plan in X12 it keeps the old defaults. Chief said there is a way of doing it but it would require a training session. I figured it cant be too hard.

glennw
I am still not 100% clear about what you want to achieve. It sounds like you want to use an old plan, but use all your new defaults. Here is another guess. Open the plan in X12. File>Import Default Settings Import the defaults from your template plan - you can select the defaults that you want to import. You can always select all the cabinets and change the materials to use the defaults.
Thad58
Yeah Glennw you are right I was using a default cabinet. I downloaded a cabinet off the manufacturers catalog and it works
