kintaro
I have been using X12 for a long time on a daily basis. I have a strong machine with a strong gfx card. Starting today, whenever I try to load any of my plans, it fails when opening the camera with the following error. When I try a brand new plan with 4 walls, it works. Does it happen to anyone else? I tried dozens of my plans, they all fail on camera view A serious error occurred. Do not save the file in its current state. If you want to try saving your work, use Save As to create a new file. Dermot
This sounds like it is the result of a system issue, such as a video card or driver issue. Kbird1
Please post your Nvidia Driver Version or add it to your Sig. there have been many reports of this, this week , so either a new Nvidia Driver is causing it or the new Windows 10 Update to Version 2004 has caused it .... I am thinking. I don't have 2004 , and no issue here ( yet) so perhap it is Windows 10 2004.... Nvidia Driver 446.14 here
kintaro
I believe this is not a Video card issue as it works when I try a new plan with a simple wall Looking at windows updates I had the past few days, * VC++ 2010 redist security fix * This update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4560960/windows-10-update-kb4560960 Forceware driver: 419.72 Win10 version 1909 (build 18363.900)

Win10 2004 has issues with some Hardware Drivers , which is why M$ has delayed it's distribution now , but you don't have it. M.
kintaro
Updated to forceware 446.14 - It works!! I have no idea why it stopped working out of a sudden. I assume some update conflicted with the old driver Thank you all for helping!
CV-reno
For what it's worth, I have had two instances where I got the OP's message. Both times I thought it was time to reboot, just in case, only to see when I restarted that I had some pending Microsoft updates. Once restarted, those same plans let me open camera views without problem. So I suspect some updates temporarily interfere with programs that make heavy use of the video cards. Not just Programs, Windows Update also Updates Drivers - if you allow it too - which means the Nvidia ( or Intel or AMD) GPU could be effected too. If you prefer to control it yourself you can disable Windows Update Driver installations - see a tutorial here : https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/48277-enable-disable-driver-updates-windows-update-windows-10-a.html For Nvidia , Geforce Experience will keep the Driver updated, if you don't want to do it yourself.
