CoolHandLuke
I know a builder that does this type of footer and slab foundations. My problem not ever having done one is can the finish floor be raised other than padding the lot higher. in other words does the subcontractor have room to raise the finish floor when he pours the footers etc using this type of foundation. DRAWZILLA
PT slabs are usually the same as regular slab foundations, except with the tension bars, and the footings can be smaller in most cases. Are you asking how to model them?
tommy1
We can't include details for a PT slab here in Houston. They have to be done by an engineer who specifies PT slabs. Kinda like trusses. The Truss engineer has to do the truss plan and specs or the truss company won't supply the trusses.
mydog8it
Are you asking if there can be a step down to a patio or garage with a PT slab? Yes.
