Jambruins
I am having trouble getting the fascia/eave to line up where the shed style roof ties into the main house roof. How do I do this?
Ridge_Runner
Is this an auto-framed roof? If not, did you use the "2" key to join those two roof planes at their junction?
robdyck
select one of the roof edges, press '2', then select the roof edge you'd like connected. Voila!
Jambruins
That worked for one of the areas but I can't get it to work for the rest. Attached is my file. There are probably a hanful of issues as I am pretty new to chief architect and learning as I go. Thanks for the help. Alaskan_Son
That fascia alignment issue is always a bit of a problem. If you want accuracy, then those fascia's need to be modeled manually. What I typically do is something like this... Set up an elevation camera that faces the problem fasica Create a CAD Detail From View Trace the fascia to create a closed polyline that is the the desired profile Cut that polyine Paste Hold Position that polyline back in your elevation view. Convert that polyline to a polyline solid and position it appropriately in plan view. Depending on the roof, I either turn the actual fascia off completely or reduce its height to nearly zero
Jambruins
solver, thank you very much. I will be sure to watch the videos. How do you get a view like that? Is that using the full perspective view? I get the attached view when I select full perspective view.
