ChieftLc
Hi, I need a simple roof plan printed, and the house has 1.5 stories. I have a roof plan layerset. The only way I've been able to see both roofs at one time is to "F9" to superimpose the main level roof plan to see it with the second level roof plan, and turn off unnecessary layers. In plan view, it is showing how I would like to see it in print. When I send it to layout, it doesn't show all roofs, and still shows interior walls. I've tried it from the second level, superimposing the first, and get the same result. OR, is there another way to view both levels of roofs at the same time? This is ultimately what I want. Thank you!! As seen in layout: As seen in plan view:
GeneDavis
Hint: complete your signature line in your profile (it's easy) so we can see what software you are using and what your system is about. And try the search function. There have been lots of threads about this.
Dermot
Yes, but you need to learn more about layer sets and reference display. I would start with these: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00765/understanding-layer-sets.html https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00475/using-the-reference-display.html https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/5435/using-the-reference-display.html?playlist=
joey_martin
Go to the lower floor and click on a roof plane. Look for this button... That will move the roof planes up or down, depending on where you want them. I use shading to signify the roof planes that rest on the upper floor plate, and clear that rest on the lower floor plate.
