Chopsaw
If you want to synchronize with Lumion you will need to draw in Sketchup. If you just need to render in Lumion go ahead and draw in Chief. The only reason Lumion has not synchronized with chief is that it is really not necessary since chief has likely the best synchronization on the market. They do want to do it but I am pretty sure chief is last on the list for that reason. Other programs do not sync well and Lumion's synchronization is a huge benefit to those software programs but not so much for chief.

Greg_NY61
I have been exporting models in 3DS format into SketchUp to do renderings and you can edit pretty much anything in there, Here is a sample I just dropped a Basement bar in 3DS format, and you can select and edit each item in the model . sorento
I have blue lines ( line grid ) and if I try change colour of house elevation sketchup change colour of glass windows etc
Greg_NY61
Each item is a group. You need to dbl click the house and double click the elevation and apply the color. I just tried it and it works no problem.
