zowie123
Hi All, If I build terrain again, it goes away for a bit, but comes back. Anyone ever had this issue? I called and they said it's an out of date driver issue, but I'm using up to date drivers, with an NVIDIA 675m which I've not had any issues with and which shows up in the Chief open GL Driver DBX. 6.4.0 latest Chief. Thanks mucho, Barry
rlackore
This has happened in our office. It appears to be plan specific. And it's not always the terrain cursor either - I've had the intersect tool cursor stick also.
ebdesign
Preferences/Edit/Behaviors/Behavior Indicators. Look in HELP. It means you need to do something or you're in an alternate behavior. Very handy.
rlackore
Jim, When the problem arises, it is persistent across commands, saves, and sessions. Regardless of the Edit Behavior checkbox. From the reference manual: Note: Unlike other Preferences, the program always restores the Default Edit Behavior whenever you close the program. So, you'd think that closing/opening would resolve the issue. It doesn't.
Solution zowie123 Posted September 15, 2014 Author Solution Share Posted September 15, 2014 Under the 3D menu, 3D View Defaults, the Auto Rebuild Terrain was unchecked. I checked it and it's gone. 1 1
ebdesign
Yes, it is supposed to revert back to "default edit behavior" when Chief is reopened. What alternate behavior is it indicating needs attention? Get a screen capture of it next time.
glennw
No, No. Nothing to do with alternate behaviour. Out of date driver issue - bunkum! That symbol is telling you that the terrain needs rebuilding. That's why it goes away when you turn on auto build terrain.

Now, with CA X13, the "Auto Rebuild Terrain" option can be found in the "Terrain Specification" dialog box: P.S. Glenn is right, bunkums and all.
