ChiefToni
Hello, I have chief Architect X9 , I can't find the I beams and post for the basement. Can any one explain ? Please
Chopsaw
Draw a Floor Beam and open up the DBX and convert from default lumber to Steel-I and set the width, depth and elevation. Put some primer on it in 3D and you should be good at least for plan view and a basic 3D display. If you need an accurate cross section you will need to extrude from a p-solid. Place posts manually.

There is also a Library for Steel Columns(Posts) that has been around since X9 https://www.chiefarchitect.com/3d-library/index.php?r=site/detail/1062 M.
