Roll-Up Garage Door Symbol

The attached "Doorway" Symbol can be used where you want a Roll-Up Garage Door.  It won't show the "Overhead Rectangle" that a Garage Door normally shows, but you can add a CAD Rectangle for that if you need to show the Roll in Plan View.

 

IAE, it displays correctly in 3D, and will be in the Door Schedule if "Doorways" are included in the Schedule.

You might need to adjust the Symbol's "Y" origin, depending on the wall thickness.  I set it to 19" but for a 6" Stud Wall it should be about 20-21".  You can play with it as needed.

I notice that you can show the door opened. Would it be possible to show the door open with just the barrel hood ?

It would be necessary to create a separate Symbol for that. 

 

But you can use the "Delete Surface" Tool to "Open" the door temporarily.  That will work for "Standard Render Views" but not for a "Ray Trace".
