WMathews Posted August 1, 2018 Share Posted August 1, 2018 Calling all experts, I am having a challenge to create a roof planes as per attached sketch which I had drawn in AutoCAD, and I dont know how to achieve that in Chief Architect X10. I tried many options which I could not get the end result. I am attaching the floor plan as well. I want the roof to overhang by 36 inch extend over the deck. DavidJPotter Posted August 3, 2018 Share Posted August 3, 2018 Eric indicated that you look at the Roof tab Settings, Room Dialog box settings of the plan he edited for you. That IS how you get the resulting roofs thus autogenerated. The basic data is to be found in the Build Roof Dialog - Roof Styles tab. You learn to do roofs by one: learning the Wall Specification Box pre-settings made on the Structure Tab and Roof tab by study and practice. Manual Roof editing and creating is also a process of study followed by lots of practice failing and succeeding. It takes a while to gain real competence with those tools. Whether Auto Build followed by manual editing or just manually creating the roofs are based upon your understanding and competence. DJP Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
