Curved Walls - Materials Showing Through

Recommended Posts

My colleague is working on a project that has a turret stairwell. For some reason the materials are showing through the doors and windows on the curved walls? He tried it on a blank plan to experiment but the same thing is happening.. Does anyone know what causes this? See attached images.

Thanks in advance!

If it is a minor glitch sometimes CTRL+X and then CTRL+ALT+V will fix something like that but if not you may have to post the plan file.

Make sure the floor below has the exact same curve and is aligned.  If it is off even a little, it can cause odd problems.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, they helped. Also, for some reason it was creating attic walls within the curved wall.. but on each level. He just turned off generate automatic attic walls for that room. The problem is fixed for now will see how it goes!

Thanks

I have been asked to do a rendering for a home builder, and they have flared walls at the bottom third of all the walls in the front elevation.   I used a 3D polyline - created the shape I wanted, and stretched it to the length of the wall.  Now that I am at the corners - I have no idea what to do!  Is there a way (or a different way) to draw flared out walls and have them join nice and clean at the corners?  Or is this something I have to airbrush in once the final rendering is completed?
