ROOF QUESTION

Hi

 

 

I want to know if the attached stable / barn need to have the roof manually drawn in chief. The building has a ope court yard so I labeled the courtyard open below in the structure tab I set

no roof, floor, or ceiling but the automatic roof keeps putting a roof over courtyard. I know how to build it manually but curious if there was an easier way

Try labeling the courtyard "court" which should have roofs and ceiling turned off by default.

 

Open below only affects floor below not ceiling or roofs above.

I am guessing that you have the daily and roof unchecked in that room structure dialog.

 

It may be seeing it as an island room and that may be causing the issue.

Try making the open area on the left end void of any defining walls.

here is a quick answer, I think it's a bug

right now my sound isn't working but look closely  just remove the roof and ceiling from that little room and it will apply the roof correctly then just patch that area with a roof. I think it' a bug o report it haven't seen that one before.
