Covered Porch Walls?

I always have issues with the porch floor materials. This is with or without a roof.

The paint tool paints the interior but not the margins where the wall would go.

Am I using the wrong wall type for room divider? I have set the wall type to Room Divider but when created Chief changes it to "Interior-4"

Your example shows that you did not use railing walls which have a materials tab for "Exterior Wall". Using invisible walls or room divider walls does not offer this additional, useful material setting.

While we are at it the front hip soffit is not building correctly.

Both front hips it looks like.

I see but it also occurs on the CMU wall left of the porch.

 

So i want the concrete porch (wall defining it) to be larger than the beam above that carries the roof trusses.

That means the soffit needs to be slightly wider than the normal 24" on typical walls.

This situation is typical when you have wide column bases. Most porches need to be larger than the beam outline above.
