Google drive does not support live program authoring/backups etc. it will lock a file when it is uploading/downloading as it’s owner, which takes away parent permissions from CA causing it to crash.

Google drives reps cite this as a known function of drive though I can’t state my source

onedrive and Dropbox work fine

 I don't trust the cloud

old school systems/analyst/programmer who started in 1978

I prefer to save to my PC Hard Drive then when done save to the cloud also

Thanks all for the reply's

I will take this on board and see what happens.I hope one or the other sorts it out, its hard to know who is at fault here, Google or Chief

I assure you its Google, their cloud service does not allow live co-authoring.

you'll crash consistently in google...try uploading a lot of data on google drive while an open file of Chief is running and trying to auto save..it will crash.

onedrive or dropbox will not

Listen to Lew.  It's the best way to operate.  Cloud is for back up, not day to day storage of operating program or even main storage of your files.  Others may disagree.
