NORCOCON
Hi all. I am having an issue with a foundation view that I want to send to a layout. Its in X9 on Mac Pro. Its a walkout basement and I just want the foundation from above view. The walkout walls that will be framed on top of stem walls flush with the basement slab show gaps where windows and doors are. So from the view it shows the foundation wall stop and then you see footer then the wall picks up again in every window and door area. I need the stem walls to continue through all the gaps. Chopsaw
If you are using pony walls for your foundation you can set them to display upper or lower and it sounds like you want only lower displayed. Or maybe you just want the footings ?
NORCOCON
Thanks for the response Chopsaw. I looked into what you said and I see where to make that change of what to display. Only one 8' section of wall is a pony wall on the left side of the picture and it is actually showing correctly. For some reason the door and windows are showing up as breaks in the foundation even though those layers are turned off. Here is a pic with walls, windows and doors turned on. javatom
Do you want just the footings? If so, just make another layer set and turn layers on & off to get your desired view.
javatom
They are breaks in the stem wall. It is showing correctly. In the garage for instance, you would not want the stem wall where the doors are located.
NORCOCON
Thanks javatom. I am trying to get the foundation layout plans to the foundation contractor. I see how to do the footings and that will be on another sheet. Just not sure why there are breaks in my foundation under windows and the door. NORCOCON
The stem wall top will be flush with my slab in the basement. Walls will be framed right on top of the stem wall. So there will be no breaks in those walls. Yes in the garage the stems walls are higher than the slab.
DRAWZILLA
you can try reference sets to get things to show that don't. Post the plan.
