Custom Muntins not working in circle window

Recommended Posts

I've made a circle window by making it a fixed window, giving it a full arch and reflecting that arch vertically. Then I want a "plus" in the window of muntins, but standard lites don't do it, so I thought I'd try custom muntins.

I drew the "plus", made them a cad block, and clicked on the window, but there's no option to load custom muntins. What's happening?

Using X8 on a mac.

Tim, Sounds like you only missed one step, cad block your cad lines and then select the window and the tool should appear in your toolbar.  Search the Help file under Custom Muntins or watch CA training video # 10048

In the past, I've found that there is a minimum that the muntins need to overlap the window frame, or it doesn't work. i.e. if they are just barely touching the frame, it may not work properly. You might want to look at this.

Not sure what step you're saying I missed. What you outline is exactly what I said I did, and there is no tool in the toolbar.

Odd. So, I just tried it again, and apparently I was drawing the muntin lines too far past the sash. Now it works!
