  1. You can use the join roof planes tool. You will have to break the roof edge you want to join to in multiple places to get it to work.
  2. Use the ceiling plane tool. The dialog box has settings for bottom height, top height, radius etc... edit - I think you need 2 ceiling planes to create a vault. One for each half.
  3. I don't see the video either. Can someone post a text link?
  4. Youtube will let you add a music track. I know there is a selection of tunes there. I do not know if you can upload your own.
  5. The muntin intersection one bugs me the most, with the stile-rail intersection a close second. I've made some of my own garage doors solely to get rid of some of the errant lines in Chief's doors. You circled where the top sash meets the bottom sash. that one actually appears as it should.
  6. Stymied by the Hysteric District? I feel ill - bring on the leeches!
  7. The fix until I hear back from Tech Support is all garage attic walls set to no locate, no room def. That stranger thing is this does not work if I drag a connection between the attic walls of the one story bump out in the rear. If I make those attic walls no locate, no room def., the window appears fine again.
  8. Strange, Chief seems to get confused about interior versus exterior when the gable wall is deleted. A similar thing is happening with my attic wall solution I believe. Highlight the "Exterior Room" after performing either of those operations. It looks convoluted.
  9. Fair summary. I did just download VoodooObjects.calib, maybe that had something to do with it.
  10. OK, here's how I solved it, but I don't really understand why it works. 16 second video http://youtu.be/idjrhkqzg9c
  11. Alan - none of the above. Though the fix did make a change to the Exterior Room.
  12. UPDATE: I was able to get the window to appear correctly, but the solution does not really make sense to me. (And by the time between posts you can see it was not a very involved fix.) I guess now this is a challenge to see if anyone can duplicate and or explain this. I'll share my solution later.
  13. I cannot figure out why this window is blocked by the wall. The walls align from floor to floor, there are no unusual settings on the Structure tab... Any ideas? Thanks! Window Problem.zip
  14. Bob, Here's how I'd go about creating the curved roof. I'll leave it to you to figure out the eave height and resolve the roof intersections and trapped valleys. http://youtu.be/0KKasliuiKY (sorry, no sound. I'm no DSH.)
  15. I always keep the name of the current file the same so the links to layout remain. I copy (in windows, not a save-as) and rename the plans that are archived.
  16. You can bump up the emissive setting on the material for the fluorescent tube so it appears to be illuminated and use Dennis's suggestion to approximate the light cast.
  17. Well, it looks like the GIMP homepage has a blog post about this: THE PRICE OF BEING POPULAR... 2014-12-26 When software is popular, then there are elements out there who seek to profit from it by less ethical means. Installer packages with added spyware, adware or even malware are apparently part of the (Windows) user experience these days. GIMP is being attacked in that manner as well, In order to keep safe, get GIMP from our own downloads pages or the sites we link to, and be very cautious when going elsewhere. One victim of this is GIMPshop - started as a fork of GIMP to add UI terms that are more familiar to users of Adobe Photoshop, it is nowadays used to load third-party software onto the unwary user's system. Thankfully, the original author is not to blame, as this operation is run by someone else. Here's the link from that post: http://www.gimp.org/downloads/ (I mentioned sourceforge in the meeting, which is the place I originally downloaded GIMP without the malware experience.) Here's an alternate link for the other software I mentioned: https://inkscape.org/en/download/ Many apologies to those that have had their day derailed by this.
