  4. You can open up the wall and go to Roof and uncheck the Frieze boards. Or, open up the roof and locate the Frieze Boards
  5. In Plot Lines mode you can override the plan defaults to get a lighter, cleaner look
  6. Here is a plan that is Plot Lines for the cameras... 2.90MB https://drive.google.com/file/d/1y8E1y-Ax2S0aU5GFfY-Dsd-eeIemornC/view?usp=sharing Here is a plan that is Live View for the cameras...13.3MB Ouch! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NFdZOBurvXsrW0PaUFl1le38m2WZkOh_/view?usp=sharing The size of the camera view window plays a big role in the PDF file size. I reduced the size of the windows to be close to the house and the file size went down to 5.11MB from 13.3MB I typically like my files to be less than 15MB, but surely less than 25MB so I can send them in gmail. This is an example of how I will use the 3D Cameras. This plan is shown with images in Technical Illustration. 42N2246 Kelly and April Lappinga.pdf
  7. What I have learned is that you can set your camera into plot mode once it is connected to your layout. You also need to turn off Shadows. OR, you can set your camera in live mode and keep your shadows on. But live mode will make the layout file much larger. Now when I add my layout to my drawing file it connects the 4 cameras I have set up in Plot Line mode and I need to refresh the views when I make changes to my elevations. But I no longer need to open a new camera and select my view and copy and paste in image over and over.
  8. Thank you for the info. Yes, I changed it to On Demand and saved that in my .layout template. I also set up four cameras in my default .plan template that is connected (see video below on how) to my .layout
  9. I wanted to do this for years, and maybe others know how, but I typically paste in an image of my Model. When the client changes something I recopy and paste in a new image. With this way the model view will update when you Save the Camera View... So much better! Example of Live view. You cannot use Plot Lines if your model has shadows. https://my-plan.stevenyhofdesigns.com/v/3LCF5xitLHQu9EZkxClD Example of Send Current Screen as Image
  10. I wanted to work on this and see if I could make this work. I always wanted to do this and could not figure it out before. https://my-plan.stevenyhofdesigns.com/v/3LCF5xitLHQu9EZkxClD
  11. Wow - I knew it had to be something as all settings were matching
  12. I like this idea! You need to get some work done! You seem to help me quit often Thank you
  13. This drawing fills up my 36x24 paper so I am placing my vertical section lines to Center or Custom Placement. However, the lines in the garage do not show up, where the lines through the house do. Garage House Thoughts? 14. Back in X12 I generated a list of my Hotkeys - does anyone know how to do this?
  15. I tried this and all was good until I added a stairs opening. I made up this shadow molding to create the illusion of a gab. This is a matter of making up a room type with the Modern, Simple molding
  16. Just having some fun using the Modern, Simple molding with a baseboard and a small lighted molding...
  17. That's amazing! I thought this was a fairly new design idea.
  18. I am expanding on this a bit. I am using a molding that creates a shadow and illusion of a gap. I added a new Room Type and added this molding for modern homes Modern Base Library molding and material shadow color Modern Base.calibz Use the Modern, Simple molding Works nice for Constriction Docs and Rendering With a base board added...
  19. I got a nice google review this morning from a client who uploaded a black and white copy of a 3D image from the construction docs - so I spent 30 minutes copying and pasting some landscaping from another plan, crudely made my dirt landscape spaces next to the house, added a few trees for shadows, used my camera I include in this thread (from my template) and put an HDRi backdrop in. It took me 30 minutes. Could I fuss with more details, of course. As you update materials, save them as your defaults in your template. Each time you draw a new house you have things already in place within your template, including your camera(s). Drop in a backdrop, add your landscaping, bam!
  20. Reach out to Alaskan Son - He has a macro that does what you are talking about.
  21. I was updating my common section page and thought that others may be able to use this, modify it as you need or gain some ideas for other applications. I will also link a few other posts I made about how I connect my .plan file to my .layout file, because I have my common section page connected to my .Layout. https://my-plan.stevenyhofdesigns.com/v/bwUSgFLREujMf6gkzX5Y My Plan Template https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LNU_XIS7Y11GikHMvH593_V39oGPCV6f/view?usp=sharing My Layout Template https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tVBma2xozylzgklSQknH8FHAqqQE2FEV/view?usp=sharing Give me a +1 if you download and let me know your thoughts
  22. Now open the new material and change the Horizontal offset
