Guys, I am having a hard time shaping windows. I know how to "match roof shape" but it still does not make them triangular like shown below in red. I want to delete the middle window and have two perfectly symmetrical triangle windows. I think that would look better for this home.

Found one in sketchup and looks great.

Do we have wine racks with bottles already inserted? I am not about to fill an entire wall rack with wine bottles into my model and my client likes to see detail in his renderings. haha Every library item I downloaded doesn't seem to have what I need.

This could be true......I did have cars and plants/trees in the model. But even when I shut TM down and went back into CA that is where everything starting having the issues I mentioned above.

Downloaded TM and the launcher and my PC went nuts last night. Blinking, flashing, color distort etc. Per my PC specs below this should not have happened and all my drivers are up to date.

Guys, its late in the game for me but I finally am trying twin motion. Which plugin do you use for CA?

CA calculates the heated and cooled. So, that step is done. What I do for total under roof is turn on "room standard area" layer and add the remaining unheated places like porches and garages to the heated calc.

I have wanted this for years, total under roof and heated automated calcs. Every time a client makes a changes I have to remember and go thru and add or subtract the sq footages. Sometimes I forget and the client catches it every time.

Yep! everything turned on, that's what was confusing me as to why they weren't showing.

Manually drawn, pull some grips where they shot they shot thru the roof and they popped right in.

Thanks guys, there is definitely something fishy going on because I tried to manually draw them in and nothing. I will try and load the plan file

Anytime I have came across this I remembered you have to click the walls, (railing in this case), and check full gable for CA to generate the walls. Attic walls are turned on and still nothing is showing. Am I missing something here? "Flat ceiling" is unchecked, just simple lean too's.

It's always something easy. That worked great. Change to black lines and 2 line weight.

cool, thanks a ton!

This CA's out of the box B&B. Not the James Hardie type. I do not use that material. The battens are too close together for my liking.
-
Guys, it seems like everything I print, over the years, is really nice and clear except for board and batten lines. How can I get these lines darker, I am sure it would make my plans even better looking. The Lap siding material prints really well so I am not sure why B&B is different.

Arched lintel and apply "course" brick pattern works great for me.

Man I tell ya, I really like the replies here on the forum. Doing the air gap of 36" between the garage slab and new floor joist system worked great!

3d solids for column bases and apply whatever material you want. I use a lot from Bueshel Stone Corp in the catalog.

Ledger boards for sure.

I have the builder's contact info and I can picture how it will be built BUT making it work in chief is what I am stuck on. Your method may be what I need.

This is in rural Alabama, no one cares haha. No engineering stamp required and they could have drawn these on a napkin for permits.

Hey guys, I am trying to wrap my head around this going from existing to new flooring. The garage steps down 36" and has 11' ceiling. The door coming into the garage is from the kitchen. They want to add two beds and a bath to the 24X24 garage which is enough space to do so. They want the floor of the garage raised to be flush with the main home which will still leave 8' ceiling height. This will basically be a false floor, kind of like a wood framed stage in a church I am thinking. What is the best way to tackle this with floor height settings in CA while leaving the garage slab where it is. I am waiting for a measurement of the existing door as we speak. The home is 2 hours away and the owner is assisting with measurements along with the plans that were drawn in pen from the 80's.
