Here's a little niche' that got dropped in my lap and may be something that someone in another area could take advantage of. A mid-size appliance dealer in our area was looking to update one of their display kitchenettes for Jenn-Air. Using the CA bonus library i was able to get model specific appliances and create the attached rendering to send to the corporate decision makers. BAMM. got the design build for that kitchen as well as the Dacor kitchen adjacent. When the other suppliers saw the new look kitchens they did't want to be left behind with outdated looks. You guessed it - design and remodel of Bosch- Thermador and GE Monogram going on right now. They all have quality 3d symbols that are model specific if you know where to look and the appliance reps love to see their stuff in the renderings. The upside for the retailer is the manufacturers are paying for it.......win win

This was done with pony walls and windows. Just adjusted the frame size and casing along with the materials.

I have a client who wants the schedule in excel- how did you export as a spread sheet?

One thing that makes me feel a touch better is that the file in the Database shows 573 gb so I am assuming that the material is still there- CA is just not recognizing it for some reason.

Ray- any clue as to what they offered to help remedy this?

Will call tech support in the am- good to hear they could help with this. Had some issues a while back and had to create a new user on this machine. Since then I have had to start X6 with the run as administrator command to get all the libraries to load. I am assuming this may be related to that issue.

Hoping this is an easy one but could be a big deal. was working IN X6 today and when I opened a plan I had going my library catalog only had one thing in it. I appears that the rest of the libraries are in tact- Core- Bonus- Manf. But not the User catalog. When I went to import libraries and selected the User library in the database libraries just that one item was there. Any suggestion on where all those items may have gone?

I did a full reboot and it seems to be working properly now- if it pops up again I will zip the plan and post it. Thanks for the help- BTW- what's wrong with us working on a long holiday weekend !

I am using end to end dimensions as I generally do. In most cases where this occurs I am dimensioned to the proper object- one of the first things I checked. Also - at times the object will relocate with an adjacent dimension on the same line.

In some plans -not all and with some objects -not all, I am having an issue with selected objects not being recognized by the dimension line that it is associated with. For instance if I click on a given object( ie. window , wall , door , etc...) and then hover over the dimension and get the finger symbol, I click and adjust with that dimension as normal. But on some items the finger doesn't come up. Then if I scroll in it appears but will not open the dimension option when prompted. any ideas?

I have issues with soffits from time to time and was wondering if I could get some guidance. In the attached screen shots you can see that I have a very simple shed roof design for a modern plan. in the view for the clerestory area over the deck you can see that the soffits under the upper end have varying steps. Not sure why. I have the ceiling unchecked for the adjacent room which runs all the way across that section.

Probably a stupid question but I have viewed some of the on demand webinars in the past.when I go to the on demand webinars section of the website it says that I already own some of the videos. I have looked through my computer and cannot find them. can't seem to find anything in the "My Seminars" tab of the website either. any suggestions

Ok- just tried to create a p-line with solid fill but do not see how/ where to adjust transparency?

It should be simple but I can't seem to dial it in- I just want to be able to show a lightly shaded area in a site plan for the driveway or walkway. I can color the poly-line and show that shading in the layout view if I have the color toggled on but I do not want to print in color. want B&W but with the same transparent shading

I can see how that works with certain object and surfaces but what i need is more cad based. Really just a poly-line fill color that will display with the ability to adjust transparency in layout.

I did a search for this but no luck- I would like certain objects - driveway in a site plan for example- to have a bit of shading on the printed page. Not a full blown black out or a patterned fill but just a touch of transparent grey to set of the separate area. I can show a the shading if I toggle the color on but I do not want to print in color - just show a grayscale shading of sorts of the given area or object.

any way to set that single rim joist default to all walls?

too bad- often revise a few pages or create another set of drawings altogether and want to delete the previous revision from all pages. maybe in another version soon

does anyone know of a way to edit or delete a revision from all pages at one time?
