  1. For some reason the walls beside the stairs and my arched doorways were messed up and that’s the only way I could get them to work. I’m sure it could be done but copy/paste and drag in place, a couple minutes and it worked. Sure not a normal situation!!!
  2. Do you have the roof defaults set to trusses? That will disable the raise/lower option.
  3. I use both because I work with other users that haven't upgraded yet, but I went ahead and finished everything I'd started in X16 and didn't try to transfer to x17. I have opened a few that were finished in x17, and everything seems to be ok.
  4. Well, I had to try it. It's not really easy but I used curved roof planes and concrete walls with double arched doorways. There are actually 6 roof planes, two on each side of the concrete walls and two between the walls with a roof hole over the stairs. I didn't make it to your room size so the settings will be different, and I used X17'
  5. Is this what they are calling a perch?
  6. Is it just the working layer set or all sets? Did you happen to accidentally toggle off the color tool?
  7. You can get the two lower sections with auto roofs by setting the side walls to have upper pitch, but then you’ll probably have to manually draw the upper section and adjust the center section.
  8. You can also make a complete break in the stairs wherever you need the wall to end.

  10. You can bump the angled railing out about a foot and add a short railing on each side to connect for the room(see picture). This will give you a gable with auto roof, but eventually you will have to turn them off I put the railing back and them manually adjust the roof planes. At least that gets you started and should help with the other issue.
  11. Like they said Change the porch wall pitches, one thing you will need to change the front and back porch rails, in the roof tab to have upper pitch set at the house roof pitch or it will make the house the pitch of the porch. This is auto roofs all the way. You do have to have a 2nd floor in the tall part. I have it set to 24' ceiling height and made a small room in the middle for the shed dormer.
  12. I have used Wall Material Regions to make angled soffits.
  13. I believe you will have to figure it out, I put a cad line at my first and last pier and drag between them.
  14. Good evening, Geoff I see you got your roof planes fixed. I'd like to connect with you and give you a quote for your project. I would do the work in Chief X14, and you can make changes in HDP 2023. Give me a call, thanks.
