  1. IN adjust light you still have to open each individual light and edit however many lights it has
  2. Is there a way to adjust the Lumens of a light that have multiple light all at the same time. I have an LED mirror that has 14 perimeter lights and I would like to decrease them all to a lower lumen all at the same time versus individually. Im doing these in the library and not in a particular plan so I dont have to change them every time they are used
  3. I finished these libraries. If it help you great. If not no problem. Do to the plan size, I can email it to you if you need the textures Bath Accessories.calibz Bath Plumbing.calibz Bath Shower Parts & Schluter.calibz Electric Symbols.calibz HVAC.calibz Kitchen & Laundry Appliances.calibz Kitchen Accessories.calibz Kitchen Plumbing.calibz Misc Plumbing.calibz Rob's Layer Sets 6-13-2023.layers Symbol Plan.zip
  4. A appreciate the constructive criticism Rene. I've always worked more out of my user library especially in much earlier versions of CA before they even had bonus catalogs or the ability to copy anything from the core of mfg to the user library. I have three in house designers and I have their PC set up just like mine and I update theirs by importing a new user library on a weekly basic if needed.
  5. Yeah I found most of these in the default settings. Deleted some and merged some to clean things up. Thanks
  6. I also have these almost completed... - Kitchen Plumbing - Bath Accessories - Kitchen Accessories - HVAC - Interior Decor and accessories - Furniture - Kitchen Appliances

  10. Message me with your email and ill send it
  11. I have been going through my user library and creating symbols that I want on my custom layers. For example, all my outlets are on a layer named Electrical, Outlets. Switches on Electrical, Switches and so on for fans, appliance outlets, ceiling and wall lights. The reason I do this is when you have all these symbols plus under cabinet rope lights, backsplash outlets and switches, pendants and so on on the same layer such as the single default electrical layer and your in a kitchen or bath they are all on top of one another and makes it hard to read on a plan. I send these to individual sheets in my layout. My electrician loves it because its easy to read. That's just how I do it. I'm sure others have their own process too. Here is my electrical symbol library where all are on those custom layers with correct materials. I have also done this for Bath & Kitchen accessories, Bath Plumbing, Kitchen Plumbing, Bath Shower parts, Interior Decor, Furniture & Furnishings. Attached is the electrical library. If you find this helpful I can share these others. Also attached is a screenshot of the electrical layers Ive created to keep items separated on a layout. Link to One Drive folder for download as its over the 14MB limit Electric Symbols.calibz
  12. You can edit the electrical label font and text size in the layer display options. Make sure in the symbol dbx under label tab to check Use Object Layer (Whatever Layer you have that symbol on). I have my switches on a layer I named Electrical, Switches. See attached FYI. I have most of my electrical symbols on their own layer such as Electrical, Switches, Outlets, Ceiling Lights, Wall Lights and so on. The reason I do this is when you have all these plus under cabinet rope lights, backsplash outlets and switches, pendants and so on on the same layer such as the default electrical layer and your in a kitchen they are all on top of one another and makes it hard to read on a plan. I send these to individual sheets in my layout. My electrician loves it because its easy to read. That's just how I do it. I'm sure others have their own process too.
  13. Got it. Its not a big deal I just merge them
  14. Great forum... It would be a great learning experience if others would give other options and constructive input.
  15. It's taken a bit of time butworthiton the end to make sure the symbols we use a lot are on the correct layer with correct text, labels, and materials. I created a new plan and dropped all the symbols into a large room. There I could multi select the and change the layer and the label type and position. With open object change the 2D block as needed. Then open each one and edit the materials. Once done, multi select again and add back to the library. Select the original one from the library and cut and paste the new ones back into those folders. Will save time when it comes to layouts. I created several large empty rooms. One was for just electrical fixtures one for plumbing, HVAC, furnishing and furniture and so on.
  16. Is there a reason what if you use the same material several times like color white for doors, moldings, and whatever else it can show multiple times in the plan material list. No a huge thing as I just multi select those same material and merge. Just curious
  17. Ive found a few in the defaults
  18. If I open my template whether its a blank plan for I have drawn 4 walls to create a closed room, I have materials in the list that I cant get rid of and I know they are not in the plan such as some old tile. I have window glass in the list but there are no windows in the plan... Just an empty room with for walls
  19. Great Thanks... On that same note. If I have a material in a plan that I don't know what its being used for is there a way to see where or what that material is being used on?
  20. When working in a plan, is there a way to view all the materials currently in the plan?
  21. Is there a way to select multiple symbols in the library and change the layer set for all of them. They would all be changed to the same layer set.
  22. Thanks. I want to be able to label the as a 2,3,4 gang
  23. Simple request. I'm surprised there are none in the library unless im missing them in both the core and bonus. Does anyone have simple 2,3,4 gang Decora switches? There is a single gang and 2 and 3 gang stacked. Thanks Rob
