    How to do flush with door cabinet fillers?

    When placing cabinets near walls or butting perpendicular against other cabinets using a full face frame cabinet it is typical to have a filler flush with cabinet door.

     

    how is this done with ca?

     

    it also would be nice for ca to show cabinet doors in plan, it's like they don't exist?

    Door jamb with no casing does not extend to wall ext

    i did turn on exterior casing which extends jamb but when i mull window above and door then

    the door jamb now turns white.

     

    Also not every door or window needs a casing, lots of times in stucco walls there are no casing just the jamb/frame, ca does not allow the jamb to extend to exterior of wall without a jamb, in my opinion this is a software issue as it will not allow real life conditions to occur.

    Hi everyone, i am trying to put a transom window above a door and have no exterior casing.

    Apparently ca ties the jamb to the case so if you uncheck the ext case then ca removes the jamb and the framing shows thru,,,how stupid is that?

     

    So i tried making the case 3/4" to replicate a jamb but when i stack a window on top and try and mull window and door it will not allow me to make 

    the exterior a different colour than the interior.

     

    Seems like a defect in the program, it would allow a door without a case?

     

    I have attached a sample plan to show.

     

    I dont believe this was a problem in earlier editions of ca, thoughts?

    Derek, I currently have about 30-40 models , multiples of one design, you only load 4-5 per page, right now it is challenging to find the one I want, having some folders would really help manage these.

    How to show casing type in material list?

    I want to differentiate between window and door casing in the material list.

    They are really both the same but i want to separate them for pricing purposes.

    I have selected a different casing type for each but they are both 3.5" wide, ca seems to only show 1x4 casing in material list?

    What can i do, do i have to make one of them only 3" to get a different value in materials list? \

    Seems silly that you can choose a different casing and the material list lumps them together?

    360 virtual view issues on iPhone

    I was at a customers home and did a design right on the spot for a Reno and shared with them a 360 link.

     

    when they opened link and had phone in portrait mode and selected full screen it fills their iPhone entire screen but I only get the top of my screen???

     

    very frustrating, come on ca!

    Anyone experiencing issues with display once you select view on iPhone? I have an iPhone6, if I go to full screen mode while holding phone in portrait it does not go full screen just at top, see pic

     

    once I turn it to landscape I still get bar on bottom

     

    also I can't get out of this mode after 

     

    sometimes i I can get full screen to display but very rarely,, seems like it has lots of bugs still?

     

    Ca says it's an apple issue, but I put google glasses app on my phone and it works perfectly with google glasses, not sure why ca is having so much trouble with this.. I get dbl vision with ca's google view.

    How to control newel post at wall of landing

    Does anyone know how to control whether ca puts a newel post at wall of landing?

    I know there is an option for railings not on landing.

    Also how does one control where the newel posts go, they are hanging over my stair and landing?

    I also tried changing direction of hardwood, but ca does not allow me to change landing and treads to be different?

    What am i missing?

    The 360 view is a stationary view from a point in space.. so I don't think this will work like you think..it will show exterior of model but only what it can see from camera view point.

    Kirk i looked at the pannellum and it looks very interesting...you can hook up multiple 360's and go from one to another, also you can add notes to different items in the vr view..i couldnt figure out how to do it..have you?
