Why can't you just change the ceiling heights of three rooms on the upper floor and then auto build roofs?

yes, you can do that. by changing the ceiling height from 8' to 10', so it raise the roof 24"....but i DON'T want to change the Ceiling height (wall height) of the 3 rooms.  i need the ceiling to be at the 8', same as the rest of the building.

theres not an option to Lock the Ceiling height at 8' and raise the Roof to what you prefer.....well, you can! by changing the Truss Energy heel height. but that's if the roof is in one piece, not the 3 piece as i shown here.

  2. hi,

i did this manually by just copy and lowered the middle piece.

how / what can i set to get Auto Roof to generate multi section and multi height Roof plan like.

theoretically, i would divide the attic level into 3 space, matching/lined up to the Suite demising wall....and adjust the truss Heel height to +12" on the outer unit, and the middle unit at 0"

    how can i do this?

There are several ways of accomplishing your end goal.  I would personally put Terrains a little further down my list of preferred methods though.  You could pretty easily use Faces extruded into Solids or you could even use actual Roof Planes.  Both of my preferred methods would essentially be done using your rafters as a wire frame.  Faces would result in a smoother but less dynamic end product.  Roof planes would require a little extra work but also carry a bunch of other benefits.  Anyway, here's a quick example of how roof planes could be used.  Your rafters were imperfectly modeled, so the resulting roof planes aren't quite perfect, and I didn't take any time to deal with the material definitions which may be necessary depending on the roofing material, but hopefully this should give you the basic idea.  At the end of the day, I don't recall having yet found a roof that couldn't be accomplished using multiple planes though...

any possible method to accomplish this with just one  Roof plane...now that we have X15,  could we generate roof trusses for it?

I feel like there are probably some users out there that are pushing the boundaries of what is possible for 3D renders further than the samples provided on the company website. I'm interested to see what is possible using CA. How realistic can it look?

no CA render can compare using Twinmotion.

  5. yes.....to save as DAE, Open in TM....YOUR CAN NOT back link to CA file.....it's a oneway street only.

just have to keep export to DAE in CA...and do an update in TM.

Just thinking aloud here, but it would be great if we also had the ability to not only offset and rotate, but Mirror a reference plan.

This would give us the ability to do a mirror reflected and offset reference plan so that we could do mirrored duplexes so that editing the original plan was dynamically reflected (see how I did that) in the reference display.
