  1. If all you want is to have it look like that in plan, you can use the Swing Both Directions option in the door's dbx.

Or, if you really want 2 doors, you can actually drag 2 doors to occupy the same location in a wall.

i DON'T want Single door, double swinging direction.

i want 2 doors (storm door, o/s & wood door i/s) like what you have in your photo.

is there a setting for that type of door? or did you manually draw it?

  2. hi,

is there this type of in/out double door in CA?

where i can spec a outside screen/storm door and a standard exterior wood door in the inside.

i just faked this by copy & reflect the door to get this drawing.

    thanks,

  4. hi all,

is there a setting to override the actual dimensioning?

sometime i would like use the dimension line, ticks, and arrow, but would like to override the measure it placed and type in my own notes.

  5. hi,

i've been drawing Tray Ceiling using the old method of creating Polyline Solid and Hold in Polyline.

X6 has a the feature of auto creating ceiling tray.

heres what i can find in the Reference Manual p337.....

    ----------------------------------------------------------

    Tray Ceilings

A tray ceiling is flat in the center and sloped
around the perimeter, and is easily created
using the underside of roof planes above.
To create an automatic tray ceiling

    1. In the Room Specification dialog, make
sure that Ceiling Over this Room is
checked, then specify the desired height
of the walls as the Ceiling Height. See
    “Structure Panel” on page 342.
    2. Make sure that Auto Rebuild Roofs is
unchecked, then build the roof. See
“Build Roof Dialog” on page 462.
    3. Change the Ceiling Height of the room
to the desired height of the flat ceiling
    surface in its center.
    ----------------------------------------------------------

is there more to this instruction???

  6. i often uses Corner Boards function.

when using it in a low pitch gable end roof, i can pull up the Boards up far enough to hide behind the facia and it doesnt show thru the roof.

but on a hight slope pitch roof, when you pull it that high,  to hide the board under the facia, it will poke thru on the roof.

is there anyway to trim or edit the CB or any other method of drawing Corner Boards??

    thanks,

  8. i cant seem to figure out how to print to Landscape on my printer, in Mac OSX

i have a HP DesignJet 130, that can print 24"wide with the paper on the roll.

the setting i want is to print is 24 x 18", Landscape, which utilizes the 24" wide paper roll and would be cutting the sheet @ 18" long.

my Layout is set up 24x18 Landscape and i have my Print Setting to Lanscape

but when it prints, it keep printing Portrait, 18" wide and 24" long

  9. hi,

is there a way  to change the pre-set label of the "Current Floor:" name (Foundation, 1st, Attic..) to make it your own name?  Like.....Basement, Main Floor Plan, Attic Plan.

because every time i send this view to Layout, i wouldn't have to rename the view.

    thanks,
