Explode the block and remove the dimension labeled '225' that's using a marker. I believe you should use the point-to-point dimension tool instead of the end-to-end dimension tool.

I'm uncertain about what you're attempting to do, but is it's blocked, perhaps a screenshot with a note explaining your intention might help.

Upon reflection, it is correct to say that the chief will only attempt to shift it and not alter its size.

I am not a expert  with this stuff, but delete your dimension and see if auto shown dimensions will work 

Clicking on the dimension that displays an object's size does not reveal the move type selectors; however, clicking on the dimension that extends to another object will display the handles.

try zip or compress the file see if that gets it below 14meg right click the file compress to zip file

see if that helps there is still some problems with stairs

When i try to download i get a message unavailable, you try to download its, like something has happen when you uploaded the file not sure.

Up load your plan I am sure someone can get you going in the right direction

Give this file a go its a bit rough I think it will be good enough i drew over the pdf in a app concepts with apple pencil then exported it to dxf you just need to import scale it and give the lines elevation heights

I if you do trace the contours I would try tracing every second major contour and see if that works often less is best  you can always add

when importing try  Selecting Convert lines with shared endpoints into   polylines

PDF to cad there a app for iOS and probily android  then just import the outputed cad file  and import to chief then give the  elevation lines there correct height

Try putting it in windows 7 compatibility mode from shortcut menu  maybe 

I think you will need a usb key as shown and by memory you will need drivers for the key plus you may need to put it in windows 7 compatibility mode from its short cut settings

I had a play with your file i made some changes 

I put a roof hole in the large roof plain front and rear gables

facia heights on large roof plains i made sub facia 15" and eave facia 16" also turned on boxed eaves

I put a molding for deck facia

I made stair floor open below

See if that is what you can use, I think the roof pitch should be stepper like 12 in 12 from looking at your photos

From looking at your plan and photos it seems like you are on the right track, was there something in particular that you would like to improve on

Most of the objects tool bar items if they have a default setting just double click the tool that will open its defaults

Could you put your chief version in your signature so we don't have to try and figure out what version you are using, and you must not have your file not open in chief when zipping as it zips a corrupted file with no data
