DCB123
Need some help with the layers management tools and working with a DXF file that has been imported into Chief X8. Need to put the DXF Files on their own layer, then lock the DXF down, as make it so that when I start to draft over the top of the DXF file I can clearly distinguish between the two. Thx, for the help fellow users. DCB
DRAWZILLA
I put all the layers on 1 layer, lock it, then turn on and off as needed so I can trace the walls in Chief. Put them on 1 layer when you import the drawing
DavidJPotter
the difference between a dwg and dxf is layer management. A dwg file natively imports with layer names, a dxf file does not support layer names. DJP
