Wall material region causing floating outlets on other side of wall

ive attached 2 pictures, first being one that i added a wall material region on the outside of the house (did this to show you the problem).

the 2nd picture is on the inside and the light switch appears to be floating away from the wall.  

 

if i delete the wall material region (the rectangle outside of the house), the light switch goes back to the wall as normal.  is this a bug or normal behavior?  if so, what am i doing wrong?

I can easily reproduce in a new plan.  Definitley looks like a bug to me and should be reported to tech support.  In the meantime, try using a cabinet mounted outlet.  The ones in Chief's library don't behave all that well though so if you want you can get some better, slightly modified versions of the same in this thread...

I don't think you will have to live with this for long. Did you report it to tech support yet? If not, let us know and I will send this in. This is the type of bug that CA tends to jump on very quickly and get the fix out.

Gawdzira, no i have not submitted.  I tend to procrastinate on these types of things but would definitely appreciate it if you sent it in

This was a problem prior to an update a while back. Is the OP using the current updated version?

I am on the latest version and it is happening.
