Alaskan_Son Posted March 21, 2016 Share Posted March 21, 2016 I made this video for another thread and question, but I would have probably just built that particular truss using a similar method... ...otherwise, I would have built it using MULTIPLE polyline solids. Thing is that you CAN rotate the material using the Adjust Material Definitions tool (rainbow tool), but to get it to look right you'll need a different material on all the various pieces. English Posted March 22, 2016 Share Posted March 22, 2016 David I noticed in watching the video that you said using the eye dropper tool added a new material to the base (in your case Siding-4). I have been doing that and I believe it has been the cause of some issues I have been having. For instance when editing a wall polyline in 3D view which I had painted with shakes from another wall I accidentally deleted it and I notice the original siding was still there. So my question is should I not be doing that and instead create a new wall type with shakes instead of siding and then change the wall type instead of painting with the eye dropper?ThanksAlan Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
