BeeoHat Posted April 21, 2014 Share Posted April 21, 2014 I'm trying to model an irregular shaped seven-sided pool deck. All sides are different lengths, so all angles are as well. So I laid out the perimeter of the deck with CAD points at each of the seven vertices, then joined these points together with CAD lines. In the General Plan defaults, under allowed angles, I've added various additional allowed angles, e.g., 2.5 degrees, 5 degrees, etc. But when I attempt to build straight deck railing, following my CAD line perimeter as a guide. it only allows the 7.5 degrees angle, and ignores the additional allowed angles. NCC-1701 Posted April 22, 2014 Share Posted April 22, 2014 Glenn, your posts are always spot on! To me, additional angles are a PITA! They must be entered as +/- 45 degrees and only work in each quadrant once.... If you have the cad lines drawn like you want, I would suggest using the 'make parallel/perpendicular tool' to align your walls with the cad lines, then snap the walls to cad lines and move on to far greater and satisfying things ! Doug_Park Posted April 23, 2014 Share Posted April 23, 2014 Using angular dimensions is also a good way to get things to line up. Drop in an angular dimension between two walls.
