Adam_Gibson
I'd love opinions on the best way to properly draw and model this. How does one draw walls on top of a roof like this? I'm pretty good with Chief roofs, but I don't recall doing something like this.
NCC-1701
I know there is a 'training video' on this somewhere, I can't find it, maybe someone else can help...
DRAWZILLA
I've done these and I would just place a full height wall on the 2nd floor and pull up the bottom in section / elevation view and put a roof beam under it.
Adam_Gibson
What second floor? It's a single level. That's my problem!
Adam_Gibson
I thought I'd seen a training vid on this too but I don't see it.
marswyoming
Go to Chief Database and type in clerestory. Several articles brought up, on my search the first article is what you are looking for I believe.

The one your going to add to the plan to make it easier to do, I usually always have a 2nd floor even if there isn't one in the plan, so you easily can add walls if needed with out calling them attic walls, then you can show those windows in plan view with their labels. I learned this from Scott a long time ago. I just like to do it manually

Perry is correct, add that second floor, put a clerestory wall in, check ROOF CUTS WALL AT BOTTOM and you should be good to go.
