When you purchase Chief Architect you always get set up with download access to the software. The download access is guaranteed for the first year or as long as you have Support & Software Assurance (SSA). It is always a good idea to have a long term backup copy of the program installation file. You can save the download to a disk or back up hard drive yourself or you can order the back up disk which currently costs $14.95 including shipping. I hope this helps.
