jabamo
Hi! I am a Newbie to this software so I am sure this is a silly question. I started by creating a floor plan for a house and then generated the 3D Doll House view, which looks great. However, when I go back to the Plan view, I can't find my drawing. I see by the X and Y coordinates where it should be, but it's not there. How do I zero in on the plan?
DavidJPotter
Hit the "F6" key (orders a "Fill Screen". If that does not work, you may have accidentally placed a part of a wall (not hard to do) far away from your building and when you fill the screen (F6) it includes that tiny length of accidental wall, leaving your building off screen. It is fundamental good advice to carefully study the Reference Manual and watch the introductory video tutorials to get better orientated. ACADuser
Also if you change the floor in the 3D view you may not see a foundation or attic, so make sure your are looking at floor 1.
jabamo
Thank you ACADuser. I saw that I was on Floor 2 in 3D and as it is a one floor drawing, the Plan wasn't showing up on screen. I was able to find it.
jabamo
Thanks for the tip DavidJPotter. I must find out what the Mac version of Fill Screen is for next time.
Rosco2017
For future reference, this button should center your plan on your screen. (See Attached Photo) Mac, or PC
