LDesigns99
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to draw this room. The ceiling angles are throwing me and I've spent endless hours with nothing to show. Can anyone tell me how to get the angles like this? Thank you!!! ChristianA
The sloped ceilings will be defined by the roof frame. Without seeing what the place looks like from the outside it would be hard for me to tell. As far as chief is concerned, it would just be one room. Any roof plane that is lower than the top plates will create a ceiling sloped to the height of the ceiling as defined by the room. GeneDavis
The room's ceiling shape, as said above, is defined by the roof structure over it. The window in its "tunnel" is in a dormer. Is your scope strictly an interior one, with the boundaries just this room and its bathroom? Just decor? No structural scope? If so, just do the roof-shape overhead parts with ceiling planes. Because otherwise, done by roofing, your as-built measurements are going to involve some serious ladder work and forensics to get structure specs. Are you prepared for that?
