X17 attic gable wall over porch railing won't frame

I've a plan in which a wrapped porch has a gabled roof feature, and the railing wall (post to beam) has sitting atop it a gable wall.  Inside the porch, an invisible wall separates flat ceiling alcove with entry from vaulted ceiling porch, and that invisible wall has a gable wall above it, same wall spec as the wall atop the railing, and it frames.  Both walls generate as attic walls.  Plan file attached.

 

Why won't the one over the railing frame?

 

In the plan view screencap, the wall that frames is F and the one that won't is NF.

I believe that it is due to it being an attic wall.

Open wall dbx and Uncheck attic wall, then it frames.

Yeah. That does correct the issue, BUT it should still frame since other attic walls are framing. Wondering it its a bug. It does frame when autoframing. Clicking on it and using the framing tool isnt working. Ill keep poking around on it.

It has something to do with there not being a ceiling in the porch room behind it. BUT I am not convinced that is the only thing. Couple of work arounds just to get it framed. Uncheck attic wall as MP mentioned, frame it and the recheck attic wall. OR add flat ceiling in the room, frame the wall and take the flat ceiling out again. OR you can shift the wall back into the porch 2' or so, frame it, then move it back..... This does seem to be a bug so I might open this in X18 just to see if the behavior is differnt. i will let you lknow..

Okay.... Click on the railing wall and frame it and the gable above will frame too. See i that works.
