No floor material between two rooms in doorway

I have two rooms in the basement with both labeled the same. The floor elevations and materials are the same, but where the door is going into the other room there is no floor material (attached picture). Ceiling elevations are different. the room where the steps are is the cellarway to the outside with a bulkhead at the top. Is there a simple "cure" to fixing this issue. I "think" I've checked everything I know that might cause this. Help is always appreciated.

I have seen that before with two rooms that were both marked as garages that had a wall with a door between them.  I can't remember what the workaround I used was. Might want to try changing one room to a different type but if that doesn't work you could always just fill the hole with a poly solid.

 

I can't make this happen in X18 so it looks like they might have fixed this.
