Arunc0108 Posted yesterday at 08:54 AM Share Posted yesterday at 08:54 AM Hello, I'm working in Chief Architect X12 and I'm having trouble modeling a basement entrance correctly. I have an existing structure, and I need to recreate it exactly as shown in my reference photos. The area causing the issue is marked in red on both the reference images and my Chief Architect screenshot. I Want to create the basement exterior entrance exactly like the reference , door placement at the basement level. However, I'm having difficulty placing and configuring the basement door correctly while maintaining the proper stair alignment. For reference, I've attached: 2 photos of the actual structure with the problem area highlighted in red. 1 screenshot from my Chief Architect X12 model, also with the same area marked in red, showing where I'm getting stuck. Could someone please explain the correct workflow or the best w ay to model this type of basement entrance in Chief Architect X12? Any step-by-step guidance, suggestions, or example files would be greatly appreciated.
MPDesign Posted yesterday at 01:55 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:55 PM Try making the space (room type) open below, then make a room on foundation level. Use foundation wall type. Place door on foundation level. Make stairs from basement to terrain. Hope that helps.
