Gawdzira
Working in X18, do we have a solution for this threshold issue yet? I selected rooms and did a colored fill pattern. Do I need to go to a rendered isometric?
DBCooper
Not that I know of. We have some new ways to add fill styles to rooms in X18, such as using layers or setting them up in your defaults, but they still won't go into doorways. You might want to report this to Chief and maybe they will fix it some time. For now, one workaround you could use would be to generate room polylines, add the fill style to them instead of to the rooms, and then manually edit them to go into the doorways. Need to make sure the polyline is set to draw in the back and you will still won't get any fills for your door panels or trim (which is another thing I wish they would add). Gawdzira
Thanks. I just did a large polyline to fill and move back like you are suggesting. I was hopeful there was a menu item that was in an obscure location in this new version.
ComputerMaster86
Even though we have these fancy new "Layer Based Fill Styles" in X18, some objects in Chief still do not have a "Fill Style" panel. I think doors, windows, casings and corner boards where items I noted without a "Fill Style" panel. I wonder if Chief ever thought about adding a "Fill Style" panel for doors, windows, casings and corner boards during the implementation of layer based fill styles?
