Zorro22 Posted yesterday at 02:43 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:43 PM Hello everyone, I have several old Chief Architect project files created around 2004–2007, including: .PL1 .CA1 .CB2 .CB3 Chief Architect Support directed me to their general support page but no longer converts these legacy formats. Would someone with Chief Architect X8 or earlier (or Version 10 / 9.5) be willing to open these files and save them forward to a modern .plan format, or export them to DWG/DXF? I’d be very grateful for the help.

PhillipCA
@Zorro22, I believe you should be able to self-service what you are requesting for the “.PL1” file, I’m uncertain about those other files. 1. Make a copy of any files you need saved in the newer version. 2. Download & install the X8 Viewer. 3. Open the copy of the file in the X8 Viewer. Save the file & close it. 4. The newly saved file should now open in Chief Architect X17. You can download a trial here.
