x17 file management with multi person office

We have three licenses and thee designers using CA in our office and would like to streamline the collaboration of projects.  Is it possible to use the new "file management" function in x17 over an internal network environment across multiple PC to share libraries, project files etc. off a central server without exporting the file each time we switch the computer we are using or person working on the file?  I have found no information regarding if this is even possible.

X17 Project Management just manages the files and resources.  In terms of multi-user collaboration, it's not really any different than prior versions.  If you use Dropbox you can put everything in it so everyone has access to the current data which will be synced when a file is closed.

 

OTOH, an internal network where you have all the projects, files, libraries, etc located works pretty much the same way.

I would like to add to this; even with one license, were I switch from office, home and laptop computers, the export requirement makes using "file management" difficult and impractical. In previous versions I placed data (libraries, plans, layouts, etc.) on a server (cloud) drive and have had minimal issues.

Can I ask why you feel that it is difficult? 
Backup on one machine
Restore from backup on the other
OR
export library from one machine and export project
import and import on second machine

Possibly slower ..but not by much..also this method ensures that you are not generating conflicted copies from sync issues/hangups

It is possible but high likelihood that something will cause a big problem.
Before you hit save..now you hit delete and export..is it just that the amount of time for the export that is bothersome?

You don't have to use it.  Just unselect the file management option and continue on as before...
